Black Hills Energy provides prescriptive rebates for its commercial customers who install energy efficient HVAC equipment, heat pumps, motors, lighting, and water heaters.
Custom rebates for approved measures are also available. The custom rebate amount is based on the cost difference between the standard and high efficiency equipment and systems, as well as the amount of energy saved. Examples of measures that could qualify for the custom rebate program include: chillers and unitary HVAC equipment; high efficiency refrigeration equipment; variable frequency drives; industrial and agricultural equipment; and energy management systems. All custom projects require pre-approval before purchase and installation.
