In March 2011, the City of Fort Worth adopted the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code with amendments as the City’s building energy code.
Fort Worth Energy Sustainability Program
Fort Worth developed a voluntary provision for projects desiring to be recognized for going above the requirements of the existing building codes. Participating residential and commercial projects are scored using a point system to achieve a rating of Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum.
