Salt River Electric serves as the rural electric provider in Kentucky's Bullitt, Nelson, Spencer, and Washington counties. Residential customers are eligible for a variety of cash incentives for energy efficiency. The Touchstone Energy Home Program provides a rebate of up to $750 to elegible customers. building new homes that satisfy the energy efficiency requirements of the program, and who wish to install an electric water heater and either a Geothermal Heating/Cooling System or an Electric Heat Pump. Salt River Electric also provides incentives for customers who replace either electric furnace, baseboard heating, or ceiling cable heating systems with high efficiency heat pumps. Heat pump to heat pump replacements are not eligible for this program. Additionally, rebates for weatherization measures are available through the "Button Up" program.
Commercial customers are also eligible for lighting upgrades.
