Tipmont REMC customers are eligible for rebates for the installation of efficient water heaters and air-source and geothermal heat pumps. A rebate is also available for the recycling of older, less efficient refrigerators and stand alone freezers. Air-source heat pumps are eligible for rebates between $150 and $450, while geothermal heat pumps are eligible for a $500 rebate. Water Heaters with a capacity of 80 gallons or less are eligible for a $50 rebate and systems with over 80 gallons of capacity are eligible for a $100 rebate. Heat pump rebates are only eligible for single-family residences that are occupied year-round. All necessary proof of purchase information is required. Customers are also eligible for rebates from Wabash Valley Power Association. Review all program information on the web site listed above. Customers should contact utility to ensure system and home eligibility.
