Entergy Arkansas offers two major energy efficiency programs aimed at farmers: The Agricultural Energy Solutions Program is an energy efficiency program tailored specifically to offer businesses. The Agricultural Energy Solutions Program offers incentives to cover a part of the costs of installing new energy efficiency measures. All non-residential customers on agricultural rate plans and extends to a variety of agribusiness types including Dairy, Cattle, Poultry, Swine, Delta/Row Crops, and Aquaculture. The program has two major options to pursue incentives: the Prescriptive Option and the Custom Option.
The Presecriptive Option offers predetermined incentives on a wide variety of energy efficiency measures including Compact Flourescent Light Bulbs and high performance flourescent bulb replacements, and occupancy controls.
The Custom option offers incentives for more complex, site-specific energy conservation measures. Typical custom measures include livestock waterers, exhaust and circulation fans, and variable frequency drives for various purposes.
Agribusinesses that use irrigation equipment may also be eligible for the Agricultural Irrigation Load Control Program.
