U.S. solar module maker SunPower Corp. has secured another supply contract from France, where its largest shareholder, the French oil giant Total is headquartered.

The company will provide French independent power producer and solar project developer Tenergie with its E-Series solar panels for 157 rooftop PV arrays with a combined capacity of 26.8 MW and three ground-mounted PV facilities totaling 3.1 MW. All of these projects, SunPower added, will be located in France and are scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2018, without revealing more details on the installations or financial terms of the supply agreement.

The manufacturer also said recent module orders from France have reached 200 MW. In late May, the company said it secured contracts to supply 64 MW in the first round French tender for rooftop projects. This, SunPower specified, was around 31% of the solar panels required for the awarded solar projects.

Tenergie is headquartered in Aix-en-Provence, southern France, and currently owns and operates 103 MW of rooftop PV systems, 54 MW of ground-mounted PV plants and 27 MW of wind power assets. Furthermore, the company has 212 MW under development, of which 114 MW for large-scale solar plants, 50 MW for rooftop PV projects and 48 MW of wind power.
