The Italian O&M operator of photovoltaic systems Stern Energy S.p.a will further rely on the monitoring platform of Germany-based Meteocontrol GmbH to run operations on its portfolio. 25 MW of the overall 195 MW installed power that Stern Energy monitors and operates in Italy are already integrated in VCOM (virtual control room) and therefore can be monitored and controlled by means of the central platform. Another almost 30 MW are currently in the project pipeline. Stern Energy receives direct, on-site support in the Italian language by Meteocontrol Italia S.r.l. Stern Energy S.p.a. is an independent operator specialized in photovoltaic systems, offering technical, management and consulting services.
Furthermore, the Italian company TGE S.r.l. will use also Meteocontrol’s VCOM monitoring portal to control its 102 photovoltaic systems. The O&M provider also plans to integrate other 15 existing systems to the platform and to equip new systems with Meteocontrol hardware and software for its customers.
