Huawei Inverters are Phased Out and Solar+Storage Dominates the Solar Market

December 9th, 2019 a group of 10 bipartisan senators sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, calling on it to take steps to combat the national security threat posed by Huawei’s entry into the U.S. solar energy market.

The letter states; “Huawei-produced inverters connected to the U.S. energy grid could leave it vulnerable to foreign surveillance and interference, and could potentially give Beijing access to meddle with potions of America’s electricity supply.”

The solar company Fronius will soon be extending its portfolio to include the GEN24 Plus hybrid solar power inverter, all-in-one solution for solar panel installations. The GEN24 Plus will be available in both a single-phase Primo and a three-phase Symo version.

The head of solar energy at Fronius International GmbH, Mark Hackl said; “With the GEN24 Plus, we are introducing a truly global hybrid inverter onto the market that will enable us, together with BYD, to implement impressive storage solutions in both single-phase and three-phase markets around the world.”

The BYD Battery-Box Premium solar energy storage systems are made up of individual solar batteries according to the requirements and can be combined with the GEN24 Plus in two different designs: the Battery-Box Premium HVM from 5.12 to 10.24 kWh and the Battery-Box Premium HVM from 11.04 to 22.08 kWh.

Ginlong Technologies announced that it's Solis storage solar power inverter is now compatible with LG’s home battery RESU. The Solis Residential Hybrid Inverter now is fully compatible with LG RESU 48V line-ups providing stable, reliable storage solar power systems. 

Solis RHI models, ranging from 3 to 6 kW, can be paired with the LG RESU 48V 3.3, 6.5, 10 and 13 for on-grid solar power systems as well as limited back-up-mode applications.
