Solar FlexRack signs contact with Swinerton Renewable Energy (SRE) to supply a 26.4 MW AC solar plant that will power 6,800 homes and create 300+ construction jobs in Simsbury, Connecticut. The plant is scheduled for completion this year.
Solar FlexRack, a division of Northern States Metals and a provider of PV mounting and solar tracker solutions, has completed a contract to supply a 26.4 MW AC solar generation plant for Swinerton Renewable Energy (SRE).
The Tobacco Valley solar project, located in Simsbury, Conn., will be installed with Solar FlexRack’s Series G3-X fixed-tilt solution. SRE will serve as the project’s engineering, procurement and construction firm.
Construction is currently underway, and the Tobacco Valley solar project is scheduled for completion this year. The facility is expected to generate enough energy to power 6,800 homes and create over 300 construction jobs.
