Australia has installed 1,691,840 rooftop PV systems, representing 5.74 GW in cumulative installed PV capacity, as of June 1, 2017, according to figures provided by Australia’s Clean Energy Regulator (CER). In May 2017, the country installed 38.43 MW of rooftop PV capacity, significantly down from 59 MW added in the previous year. Since January 2017, the country added 51.169 small-scale PV systems. Australia had around 5.4 GW of cumulative installed rooftop PV power at the end of 2016.
