The Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has retendered 650 MW of grid-connected PV projects to be developed at the »Pavagada Solar Park«. The projects will be developed in blocks of 50 MW each and will be connected to dedicated substations being developed by the Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation Limited (KSPDCL).
As reported, in January 2018 KREDL had tendered 1,200 MW solar projects to be developed at »Pavagada«. But due to »uncertainties surrounding the solar sector« in India, KREDL has received and awarded biddings for only 550 MW and was not able to auction the total tendered capacity of 1,200 MW. The winners were Renew Power (300 MW), Avaada Power (150 MW) and Azure Power (100 MW).
