SMA America, the US subsidiary of SMA Solar Technology, has entered into a purchase agreement with residential solar installer Sunrun to be a key supplier for residential PV solutions.

As part of the deal, SMA will provide Sunrun with Sunny Boy-US inverters, SMA's Power+ Solution and Sunny Boy Storage-US inverters as one of several preferred inverter vendors.

Over the last couple of months, SMA has rolled out a number of developments in residential solar technology. All Sunny Boy inverters are now equipped with SMA Smart Connected, a new service technology for automatic monitoring.
