Chinese Seraphim Solar System Co. Ltd. connected the 5 MW »Zhaiheyuan« PV project to the grid in Jiyuan, Henan Province, using 16,000 so called shingled-cell 300W Eclipse modules made by Seraphim. Developed by Henan Nuanhuang Photovoltaic, the project will generate annual electricity exceeding 7 million kWh. Zhaiheyuan is a village of relocated residents from River Mouth Reservoir.
According to the company, the Seraphim Eclipse’s cumulative installed base at home and abroad surpasses 120 MW. After passing tests in May 2016, the Eclipse series were TUV SUD certificated. Seraphim has launched the Eclipse series in early 2016. The company claims that its mono module achieve 325 W and 19.1 percent solar energy conversion efficiency, while poly Eclipse achieves 305 W and 17.9 percent. Furthermore, Seraphim said its module enables developer to save 8 percent floor space, less labor and BOS cost.
