Philadelphia Solar to build 68 MW PV plant in Jordan

Jordan-based PV module and mounting system provider Philadelphia Solar Co. signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the local National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) for a 68 MW PV station that will be installed in the south of Jordan. The facility will include more than 50 percent of local components using Philadelphia Solar’s panels. The company expects power generation of 150 GWh annually. Philadelphia Solar will design the system with Jordanian manpower, and all procedures of the PV station was approved from the MEMR’s energy consultant. The Financial close is expected to be in Q3 2018, says the company.
