Texas-based US manufacturer of solar PV modules Mission Solar Energy LLC announced that the company is ramping up production to meet product demands for 2018. Mission Solar is currently hiring additional employees for its Texas-based manufacturing plant to take the production line operations to a 24/7 schedule. »The increased headcount will enable Mission Solar Energy to maximize its production output and operate at its full annual capacity,« says the company.
Having held a two-day onsite career fair in early December, Mission Solar Energy’s hiring plans are underway. A total of 50 new employees are being added to the company’s team. Currently positions in Mission Solar’s sales team, supply chain management department and production operations are being filled.
One year ago, in February 2017, a local newspaper reported that Mission Solar layed off 170 of its remaining 294 employees. In October 2016, Mission Solar announced to shut down its solar cell production line and 87 jobs along with it, as the company faces direct competition from manufacturers in China.
