Dynavolt Renewable Energy Technology Co., Ltd., China-headquartered developer of batteries, will build and operate a 28.8 MW utility scale PV project in Portugal. The project has signed with AXPO Iberia a 10 years PPA to sell the electricity in the Iberian Peninsula. The plant is part of a 177 MW portfolio developed by Hyperion, a Portuguese developer and will be fully commissioned between 2018 and 2019.
The project is expected to produce over 50 GWh per year. It will be commissioned by EPC Jayme da Costa. The equipment selected for the project will be modules from CSUN and the inverters from the new ALBA series of the Spanish manufacturer Wynnertech. There will be installed 11 inverters ALBA 4x 1000V and 1 ALBA 2x 1000V.
Portugal is the first European country where Dynavolt Group plans to expand its activities. »Legal certainty and irradiance make Portugal the first European country where grid parity projects are profitable without the need of public subsidies,« said Juan Fraga, CEO of Dynavolt Renewable Energy Europe.
