Australia has installed 1,778,687 rooftop PV systems, representing 6.29 GW in cumulative installed PV capacity, as of December 1, 2017, according to figures provided by Australia’s Clean Energy Regulator (CER). In November 2017, the country installed 43.66 MW of rooftop PV capacity, significantly down from 75 MW added in the previous year. Australia had around 5.4 GW of cumulative installed rooftop PV power at the end of 2016.
