Chinese PV company Jinko Solar Holding Co., Ltd. announced that its P-type PERC monocrystalline silicon solar cells reached the world's highest conversion efficiency of 22.78 percent, independently verified by the Chinese Academy of Science Testing Laboratory.
This marks the second time in 2017 that Jinko Solar has broken a world record in solar cell conversion efficiency after achieving the 22.04 percent conversion efficiency record on P-type polycrystalline PERC solar earlier in the year.
