EBRD awards contract for review and re-organization of support scheme in Turkey

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is supporting the Turkish government in re-organizing the country’s renewable energy permitting and licensing regime. The current subsidy scheme, which is based on feed-in-tariffs, is set to be adjusted or replaced by a different system in 2020. Experience from the current system as well as from implementing renewable energy in other countries should be considered in this process, according to EBRD.

EBRD is thus inviting a consultant, who could be a firm or a group of firms with previous project experience, to provide a review of the existing praxis and, on this basis, supporting the government in developing new licensing and permitting procedures and selecting their preferred support regime. The assignment is expected to start in July and to last for presumably 10 months.
