New PV projects totaling 117.185 MW were installed in Germany in September, according to an announcement from the Federal Network Agency (BNA).

Rooftop installations accounted for 105.8 MW of the new capacity, and 6419 PV systems were also re-registered in September.

Around 11.38 MW of the newly installed capacity is represented by large-scale solar projects, the majority of these commissioned through tenders. Tenant-electricity projects increased, with 238.436 kW reported from September, this comes from 13 projects compared with just five reported in July and August.

Germany’s solar subsidies will remain stable into November, according the BNA. Depending on the size of the system, feed in tariffs stand between €0.161 and €0.122/kWh. For other solar power systems up to 100kW, the FIT is €0.0884/kWh.

BNA expects less than 2 GW of growth in Germany’s solar sector for 2017. The country’s cumulative PV capacity is now approaching 42.5 GW.
