The first Hydrogen + Fuel Cells NORTH AMERICA (H2+FC NA) trade show staged alongside Solar Power International (SPI 2017) in Las Vegas in September secured significant interest from the more than 20,000 SPI 2017 attendees. H2+FC NA featured 40 exhibitors and partners showcasing their latest renewable energy storage innovations, hydrogen generation and compression solutions, fuel cell systems and batteries. For 24 years, the H2+FC trade show has showcased hydrogen and fuel cell technologies as part of the world renowned HANNOVER MESSE trade show, a brand synonymous with industrial innovation, key trends and business leads held annually in Hannover, Germany. Due to H2+FC NA’s successful launch in the U.S. at SPI 2017, the show will be staged alongside SPI 2018 at the Convention Center in Anaheim, California from September 24-27.

“SPI sets the standard for solar events and is the fastest growing and largest solar trade show in North America. Launching H2+FC NA alongside SPI 2017 proved that SPI’s visitors are especially interested in sourcing hydrogen and fuel cell technologies during the event,” said Larry Turner, President and CEO of Hannover Fairs USA, organizer of the show.

During the H2+FC NA launch, several market leading electrolyser companies displayed their latest solutions, showcasing the possibility to store renewable energy through the production of hydrogen.

After valuable input and positive feedback from H2+FC NA exhibitors,visitors, and industry experts, we expect to double the show’s floor space next year,” added Turner.

Additionally, the organizers of SPI 2018 and H2+FC NA 2018 expect to benefit from locating the event in California next year due to the state’s long history of supporting renewable energies. California is one of themajor hydrogen producers and fuel cell manufacturers in the United States.
