Earlier this year, Green Solar Technologies made a commitment to raise funds and awareness for the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a minimum fundraising commitment of $50,000.

On September 12, 2017, two representatives from Green Solar, Jake Stevenson and Jonathan Peasenelli, traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, to present a donation of $25,000 to St. Jude. In doing so, Green Solar became the first solar company to contribute to children’s research hospital.

Jake Stevenson said, “I can’t convey enough what an incredible privilege it is to be a part of something so valuable and special. We were given a tour of the facility and it was not like anything I’ve ever seen before. We were able to see the beautiful environment in which these children are in treatment, and meet with some of the patients.”

He continued, “It really didn’t feel like a hospital at all. Each child had their families with them, the walls are lined with colorful pictures and paintings, and there is a play room around every corner. St. Jude is a place filled with unwavering hope and happiness.”

The stated mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.

Jonathan Peasenelli added, “It’s nice to know there’s a place in the world like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. On top of giving the children an incredible environment to thrive in, St. Jude provides state-of-the-art care and research. Nearly every aspect of the hospital seems designed to be a fun place for kids. The children are pulled around in little red wagons! This is a place that truly cares about people.”
