US photovoltaic mounting systems manufacturer Solar Flex Rack, a division of Northern States Metals, announced its fixed tilt »FlexRack Series B3P-X« has been selected and installed in the »Elizabeth Mine Solar Project« on the landfill site in Strafford and Thetford, Vermont, USA. The 7 MW solar power generation plant was developed by Greenwood Energy, Brightfields Development and Wolfe Energy and has been installed by EPC contractor Conti Solar. Work on »Elizabeth Mine« included the upgrade of the regional substation and power lines to the town of Strafford resulting in an improved electrical system.
In July, Greenwood Energy announced the closing of a $52.8 million tax equity and debt financing on a portfolio of PV projects with a combined generating capacity of 26 MW, including six projects in Florida, Vermont and New York.
