Global specialist in energy management and automation Schneider Electric has delivered 1,000 units of the company's »Mobiya TS170 S« LED lighting systems to the American Red Cross to support disaster recovery efforts in Beaumont, Texas and surrounding areas, as communities continue to grapple with the lack of electricity from the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Harvey. According to the company, the water-resistant, multi-function solar lanterns provide up to 48 hours of lighting with one day of solar charge, while also enabling users to charge mobile devices.
The Mobiya portable systems with accompanying solar panels will enable individuals in Beaumont who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey to conveniently light up surroundings and charge mobile devices no matter the location. Mobiya lamps can also be charged by any USB port, says the company.
