Five Firms Selected Add The American-Made Solar Prize

Recently, the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has selected five organizations to promote and improve the American-Made Solar Prize, a $3 million competition designed to revitalize U.S. solar manufacturing. These businesses, known as Power Connectors, can get $100,000 each for supporting the American-Made Solar Prize by recruiting competitors and partners, entertaining demonstration days, and developing plans and programs to assure the longevity of the program.

"This competition provides a unique opportunity to reshape American solar manufacturing by producing a pipeline of relevant innovations for years to come," declared SunPower Chairman and CEO Tom Werner.  These guys later continued to talk to the public. Power Connectors will present a quality of services to help NREL and DOE administer the Solar Prize, including recruiting people and teams to participate in the competition and bringing in new organizations that can support entrepreneurs. Two of these businesses will also host a national demo day highlighting competitors and bring together distinguished judges and critical stakeholders, such as investors, customers, or collaborators that may be positioned to help competitors introduce their innovations forward.   It appears that there was a lot of people and competition involved.  

Besides, Power Connectors will help develop long-term plans to build the Solar Prize so that it remains to help revitalize U.S. solar manufacturing. Further resources can be used to expand the ongoing cycles of the Solar Prize. Developing long-term plans for solar is a great idea for the world, as try to move into the future of clean and renewable energy utilizing world.
